The Green Crate Chronicles: Spotlight on South African Sports Teams' Sustainability Efforts


 As the world continues to grapple with the pressing issues of climate change, environmental degradation and social inequality; it's heartening to see sports teams taking proactive steps towards sustainability. As a South African environmental and social activist; I've always been fascinated by the impact that sports can have on our planet and our communities.

Recently, I came across an article on Liverpool Football Club's sustainability efforts and it got me thinking - what are South African sports teams doing to be more sustainable and eco-conscious? After conducting some research; I've identified five teams that I believe will be of great interest to readers around the world, especially South Africans.In this spotlight series; we'll be highlighting the sustainability efforts of these five teams; showcasing what they've done, are doing and plan to do to reduce their environmental footprint and promote eco-friendly practices.
